Fished out here today to stay away from the muskie tournies on Okauchee and Pewaukee this weekend. Was out from 3:30-6:30pm and had nothing to show for it except a decent pike on a bulldawg. Also had a couple suckers get chased but no hookups. Saw one other boat out during that time that had a follow from a 40" class fish.
I made it out to Fowler for a couple hours and had some success with the bass. It rained majority of time we were out there but that was ok since we caught a few. I fished from 4-7 and caught 4 keepers. Had a buddy with and he lost a nice fish on jig. Some fish were deep some were shallow didnt seem to be consistent either way. Water is pretty clear with a visibility of around 8 feet or so.
First time on the lake today. Very pleased with my experiance. Anyway got to the launch later than I wanted and was finally on the water by 9am. Talked to two guys that said they had no follows or bites, they left. One other guy stayed out until about 10 and then he left. He got nothing. Was the only boat on the lake after that and tried a couple drifts with no success. Headed to the north part of the lake and on my second or third cast with a Grim Reaper Spinnerbait. On that spot wham 40". I was fishing alone and netted the fish in my Frabil Power Catch musky net. My first legal and first of this year. Do have pics and will get them developed
Took 2 clients out muskie hunting this afternoon on Fowler and within the 1st hour Trevor had his 1st muskie on for a short while, the fish hit a bucktail over some weeds. a while later Chris caught a nice largemouth and 2 pike on a Jerk Bait, I also had a nice muskie come up and just miss my bait over some weeds. 0 muskies landed but we had our chances!
