Default Post spawn browns and steelies

Fished 11/12 casting and dragging spawn sacs close to the bottom.
It was decent fishing until 8 am then it slowed down.
Ended 7 for 11. Two of which were steelies. Nice morning to be out.
Post spawn browns and bows made up the mix. The bows were great jumpers!

what have you been fishing the harbor with? if you dont mind saying.

Spawn , minnows, lures, flies?

just curious, I have switched to super small stuff like flies under a float and have a bunch of skein and sacs still and i havent had many hits on that??

thanks, awesome fish!!!!

after a very slow two days we finally got back on track. sunday i decided to try some out of the ordinary and try to find some panfish. we ended up not finding any but a few cohos were very cooperative instead. they chomped the plastics were we throwing for pans. today we ended getting 4 browns and a rainbow and lost two at the lake. then we went to the river for an hour er so and joe got a beautiful little chromer and a ho. all fish came on spawn and skein today. still not fast and furious but theres still some life in there if you dont mind waiting quite awhile between bites. camera broke the other day. darn slippery hands. but heres joe with a fine ho from the other day and a peter cottontail right near da beeach....

went out for some scouting today at lunch.

Water is super clear down at the harbor.

Saw tons of HUGE browns, and i mean huge --- 20 pounders basking in the sun in 6 inches of water. Crazy. You could spot them from 50 yards away due to the clarity.

Saw no signs of any coho and saw some kings still around ---- still looked pretty decent too. Damn it i want some cohos yet this year and i didnt see a one today.

Saw a few steel mingling with the browns as well.
I have never seen so many huge trout in one place, i have seen bigger pods of them but many of these fish were potential wall hangers.

saw some guys carrying out garbage bags full of what looked like more than their limits, only saw 2 guys fishing and for sure had more than 3 a piece -- had all browns in there. These guys were lining or whatever you want to call it and its really annoying especially when the hook is on the outside of the lower jaw or underside or whatever ---- this is not fishing , more like a carnival game.

I will be out this weekend trying to get one or two of these huge browns but my guess is i wont be able to get them to bite --- not sure what ill do , float spawn or throw lures or something we shall see, but i know these fish can be damn picky.

Oh my goodness ... That's a SLOB Dean! Nice job! It was a pleasure meeting you today as well!

Collin and I found about a 7-8 lb brown laying on a pier today. Looked to be dead a day or two. It appeared the fish jumped up there on its own and couldn't get back into the water. That's the way its going for us lately ... darn fish are suicidal but we STILL can't get a hook-up! :-)
