Jim Kopjo is known as the "Crappie Professor." His presentation to the club will be the transition of late fall to early winter crappie fishing. He'll review the tactics and presentations that can be applied to any body of water in this area.
He fishes the Crappie U.S.A. Tournament Trail, being a four-time regional qualifier with a 2007 Classic qualification, capping the season with an 11th place finish. Being an avid ice fisherman, he started fishing the North American Ice Fishing Championship tournament trail in 2007, qualifying for the national event held December 2008.
Jim enjoys teaching others his techniques while expanding his own knowledge along the way. His aggressive style of putting patterns together makes for informative seminars that shed light on common problems faced by anglers. Jim has been guiding for over 7 years and speaking at local clubs and trade shows for the last decade.
