Andy, Thanks for the info. I've fished Beaver quite a bit. Its a tough lake, but it does have nice panfish. When you catch a mess of big pannies, it makes all the tough days worth it. I've been out there 3 times this year (19 total hrs fishing) and caught 4 10-11" perch, 2 8.5" Bluegill and a 15.5" Whitebass. I've always fished the east end in about 25 to 30 ft of water but have also heard the deep water between the two points is good as well. Its a long walk from the public access and if you pull a shack, with snow on the lake, you might as well stay home.....not worth having a heart attack. So, if the weather is nice(don't take shack) or not much snow on the ice(take the shack) I usually make the effort to get out there. I use a diamond white glow jig with two waxies. I haven't had a ton of luck with minnows or wigglers, but have heard wigglers work well for the bluegills. Last year I had one day I caught 20 gills and not one was under 8" long with 4 perch over 10".

All caught jigging through one hole. Another not so good thing about this lake is these schools of big bluegills and perch just swim through. They never stay in one place very long. I hole hop a little but mostly fish out of a few holes and wait for the schools to swim through. Some days they swim through more than others. Another thing is, you will definitely need a vexilar to fish this lake effectively. Any other questions, let me know. Curt

Andy, I know you have some knowledge of North Lake. What is the story with this body of water. Is it public, is it private? Would like to try and ice fish it. Is this possible? If so where is the public access? Going to try Lowe on saturday morning for the first time this year. Wondering if you had been out there yet? Thanks for any info you can give. Good luck. Curt
