Pewaukee lake has been awesome for the last 4 weeks. 45 muskies in my rig this month. Had 2 father/son outings where both sons boated their first and multiple muskie. Had Tim and Matt out last Wed. First fish came after about 45 minutes trolling. Matt felt a bit down as he lost the first one about 35inches. By 8:25 pm Young Matt boated 8 muskie to 41". Needless to say, he Quickly forgot about the lost fish.

September proved to have many multiple muskie outings. the 3 best outings were, 6, 6, and an 8 fish outings. Also several big fish were boated. 44, 44, 45, and a 46.5 were the 4 largest this month.

The next 10 days should remain good as the outlook for warm weather should keep the bite going. By mid october the numbers game will just about be over, as turnover will slow the catching process.

Eric; We should have been filming this year!!! Its been on Fire!!!

The musky bite continues to be good as August showed 21 musky in the boat between 30 and 42 inches. Last weekend a client from Texas boated two, but lost 4 in a 6 hour period. Great action though as one fish was in the 45" range.

This next 5 weeks should prove to be the hottest bite of the season. Good Luck!

After a subpar canadian trip and some high water temps in SE. Wis. The bite has started to sizzle once again. This past week we fished 4 outings, tues, wed, fri. and Sunday, boating 9 musky. Largest was 41", with a 6 fish outing which was a blast. 4 fish came within a 1 1/2 hour span.
Trolling was the ticket as cranks, and blades were the baits of choice. Nice to know those fish are still there as the heat really put them down for a few weeks.

Fishing musky on Pewaukee is still fairly consistent. Last week only caught 3 musky as I started having motor problems. I was due for a new engine so this week a New etec was rigged. One very thick musky was 42" last week probably going 20+ lbs.
This week I started off like two weeks ago, putting 8 musky in the boat in 4 outings. One skunked outing. The outings were fast action with 2, 3 fish outings, and one 2 fish venture. Had some fast action as we had one 30 minute window with 3 musky boated.

There was a couple 46"ers caught last week but we were not the lucky ones.

Pretty much the same report only a week later. 4 outings showed 10 more musky this past week. If you fished thursday the 23rd, you know they were ON as I went 5 for 7. Yes, 7 hits in less than 3 hours. They went nuts, as the rains moved in and out. 40, and 44" fish were the 2 biggest this week. No monsters yet, but as the waters warm this next week, the BIG ones will be forced to make a mistake. :)

The Musky bite had picked up considerably On Pewaukee. Boated 10 musky in my last 5 outings with one skunk. Most of my outings were 3 1/2 - to 4 1/2 hour trips. Should only get better this week. I'll take a 10 fish musky week anytime. Custom spinners, along with cranks like the bagleys and the HOT diesel lure from muskietrain.com kicked some BUTT...

The May bite was a tough as we had only 9 musky in the boat since the opener. All artificials, No live bait.
The cold east winds, and cloudy days kept the muskies from getting out of their post spawn duldrums. Warmer water temps and sunny days speeds up their metabolism, and helps them heal up and get the feed bag on. Hopefully we now get some warmer water temps and fish start to eat. Many of our fish were beat up and skinny.

The next 2 weeks should help these fish start to feed. I predict by Mid June the bite to pick up considerably.

It was a long cold winter; but felt good to be back out fishing musky. But fishing was tough this weekend as Muskie inc. had a outing where approx. 48 fisherman boated a total of 5 musky casting only. I moved 4 musky for about 15 hours of fishing. But did manage a 34.5" on a homemade jig and creature combo. A women in our chapter did boat a 47" on a twitch bait on a deep weed edge. Right now the shallow bite is sluggish, as many fisherman I talked to raised 0- 2 fish but should pick up as we come closer to Memorial day.
