Went back out to same stand saturday early a.m..First thing i saw was a coyote in range, but didnt get a shot at that.Shortly after a group of deer came threw and i was able to put the smack on another big old doe that only went 40 yards. Now its time to go after a big bone head with the QDM and venison hunting out of the way.About the same time i shot the doe,my brother took his first deer with a bow,a 6 pointer.Pretty darn good morning over all.I also had a fork horn go past, but let it walk.November 2nd thru the 6th will be prime time for hunting rutting bucks!!!Wish everyone a safe and quality hunt. :D

Condolences TJPIKE, that sucks! Ive had a few cameras stolen off my own private property over the years. Ive actually started enclosing notes inside the camera cases explaining that the cameras will not work without passcodes now. Last year, i found one of my cameras laying at the base of the tree where i had it. Apparently someone almost stole the thing, then read the note, and decided not to. Pretty funny actually. Now for the report. I hunted the wind storm on my two days off this week. ( I love when mother nature bends you over like that!) Literally no movement during the wind. Then yesterday evening they started to really move. This morning, my phones been ringing nonstop from my hunting buddies that bucks are chasing like nuts. Go figure. So, IMO its on! The next week or so should be your best chance at a mature buck. Cant wait til monday when my vacation starts, so i can get back at it! Good luck to everybody this season. GO GET'EM BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Attached Image: IMG_1041.JPG

Maaaaan that sucks bad! I hope for your sake you do not catch them....you'll be in jail and no more hunting or fishing! I do feel your pain and it would be hard not to kick the crap out of someone if you caught them in the act of destroying your property!

Looking forward to hunting this next week! Best of luck guys!

I have not had an experience like that... that would really suck!!! Those cameras aren't cheap either people. There is no need to go ruining it, let alone be on someone else's land doing that to someone. I feel for you TJ!!! ps... welcome back onto the site lol.
Ready for some fun? Lets go fishin!!! :p

Have a new bow hunting spot this year. Its a big area of private posted land.My brother and i are only ones with permission to hunt it.Went yesterday afternoon to hunt one of the stands for the first time.Walk up to stand and half of it was gone and the anus holes tried hard to destroy the rest of it that was locked on.They also pulled the wires out of my camera for the sending module and 12 volt solar battery.Thats 3 years in a row in 3 different private places i have had stuff stolen and broken.Would i love to catch someone once !!! Trying to remain calm is no longer working!!! VERY VERY SOUR!!!

The pre-rut really seems to be getting serious right now. Thursday morning, I saw three bucks moving with their noses to the ground looking for does. Yesterday morning, i saw a really nice three year old nudging does and even heard him "growl" twice which ive never seen before. I think this early full moon has the deer feeling their oats a little earlier than normal. Things should get really good when that cold front hits later this week.

Put 2 trail cams out yesterday and was amazed with all the scrapes and rubs everwhere already  !!! Couple hrs later had photo of a decent buck already ;) !!! Will find out in a few days if mr.big is coming threw. Got sign of atleast one muy grande around. The Moultrie Game I-Spy System is a awesome scouting tool and is worth every cent..

This early cold front has the geese moving down from Canada. A major flight is on the move today. Many large high flying flocks have been going over all day so far.

My family hunts the early season in Sheboygan Cty and they tell me there is alot of hunting pressure and sky blasting  ;) going on making it difficult to decoy anything. That is why the most seasoned goose hunters got skunked so far even with some early migration from Canada going on..

a black bear was spotted near Random Lake yesterday and Sheboygan Falls today..The population of bear to the north is so large that they are now being force out of there normal habitat, much like the wolves which are becoming a common site in Sheboygan and surrounding counties.

Nailed down a big Tom turk on last day of last season while fighting off hoards of ticks and temps in the 80,s..Feel very fortunite to fill that tag..A 57 yard shot(under estimated the range) on a 25 pounder,10 inch bushy beard with long hooked spurs.. :D When i was retrieving the turkey, came across a newborn deer fawn..That was very cool . Was 6 feet away, took photo and back away from little spotty..

Took my daughter out to blind on saturday and didnt see anything. Only heard a few long distant gobbles. On Sunday we saw 7 Jakes and 1 big tom. She missed one of the jakes :D and i felt sorry for her cause she felt real bad but i convinced her it was ok. It happens to everyone plus she gained valuable experience for next spring. I have another permit for the last season and will be hunting with a X bow. Will also be sure not to forget the ThermaCELL. Skeeters

Went out at 4:30 a.m. on Wed. the 28th to a spot a few minutes from home. Stayed in the blind til 2:30 p.m. and did not hear a gobble the whole time or see any turkey's. One deer walked past 10 yrds away and never once looked at the blind. The birds were there on Monday because i glassed 4 toms & 1 hen that evening. May have been one of those morning when they are silent for some reason. Yesterday i didnt go til 2:30 p.m...Set up 2 hen decoy's and the new Primos Killer B full strut decoy.Started out with a loud burst with the raspy old hen diaphram call and no response. Then tried the freak glass friction call, this time heard a gobble right away maybe 100 yrds away. Hard to tell for sure because of the strong gusts of wind. Called with basic yelps 3 times during the next 45 minutes, each time getting a quick response except the last time it was close. A few minutes went by and i then caught a glimpse of those black feathers, bright red head moving threw thick cover. Picked out a small opening in front of him, put the red dot in the scope on his neck when he stepped into opening (35 yards away) i fired !!! After a few seconds of flopping and wing flapping he laid still. A boss Tom know dought,it was 25 lbs, 10" thick heavy beard, one spur is 1 1/4" the other 1 1/8 !!! It was a great afternoon to be a turkey hunter !!! Will be back out in a blind this weekend with my adult daughter who will be trying to get her first bird..

It wont be long now !!! Getting fired up now !!! The private land spot i deer hunted last fall and winter was the first year i hunted there and suprisingly was loaded with Turkey's. First got winter photos on the Moultrie I-Spy then on the last day of deer bow season 1-31-10(unit 77M) had 12 toms walk past my blind 5 yards away..All had beards 10"-12",some had spurs pushing 2" and 2 of the toms had double beards, long double beards.. Just have to hope a few of those big guys are still around in April and May. Landowner says they will be..Last fall at a different spot i targeted a mostly white pibald tom turk but never got him..Going to scout that out to,but i have 3rd season and he may get knocked off by then.
