Our group of 8 did alright with three bucks and one doe on Saturday and then nothing after that for the season. We hunt in Bayfield county from Sat. until Tuesday. Not a whole lot of deer seen total but it is the big woods and not farmland.Attached Image: 1122111333-01.jpg My buck is the last on the right. Three and a half year old eight point. Freezer is full and I am a happy man!

Turkey hunted the last season this past week. The birds did not respond very well to calls and decoys so i ended up putting the sneak on a big Tom strutting in a field next to some pines.Got a 30 yard shot and pancaked him in his tracks. My brother shot a bird on the last day of season. He took a Jake late in the morning. It was a good year for us,taking 4 birds..Note on photo,i took a shot from the scope between the eyes!!! :P Also,a few hours before i shot my turkey a coyote came to my turkey calls up to 40 yards. He saw me so i put the red dot on him/her and fired, nocked that dirty dog right over.It got up and half ran into a area of nasty thick brushy hell hole infested with ticks and skeeters.Still i looked for it the best i could but never found it.Damn!!

Nice video Siebold!!!Thats a long beard for a hen, cool.I arrowed a big long beard on thursday mid morning. He struted into the hen decoy's but he saw me move in the blind so i had to make a moving 20 yard shot. The Bloodrunner 2 blade broadhead makes a devastating hole. Will be out again for the last season.Have another tag for zone 2 and my daughter also has a tag.

Took my Beagle Willy out rabbit hunting for the first time this year over the weekend.Brother and i shot 7 of them with the .410's.A few got away of course but it was great to get Willy out.He had a cancer tumor surgery earlier this winter so this was the first chance we had to get out.He is what i refer to as a Bull Beagle. That dog is so strong,it doesnt matter how deep the snow is or how long one hunts.Keeps going and going no matter what without tiring.Willy is a AKC Certified Pedigree Beagle.Rabbits are the only thing he runs even in deer, turkey, coyote infested area there is no interest in those tracks also never cold trail barks. If anyone has a female Beagle and would like pups my dog would be a outstanding stud..

No,just up in a ladder stand toughing it out.Good quality cold weather clothing and a strong will to hunt deer. You also have a strong desire to get out there no matter the conditions. Its in the blood i guess.

Are you in some kind of shelter? I was out fishin Sunday mornin and frickin frost was growing on my facial hair. It was cold, thats for sure, But we were dressed warm and kept moving, hell, we were sweating. We kept that in check tho. We also made a small fire on shore just incase we needed it. We didnt have a shelter, just a small canopy of pines with our fire, but we did say warm. Once the sun came out, it was wasnt so bad. I'm just wondering how you kept warm... If it makes you feel any better, We hiked about 3/4 mile into the woods to our lake and didnt see any deer either. Lots of tracks in the fresh snow tho.. Good luck out there.

Anyone doing any hunting? Deer, rabbits, coyotes, whatever is open ?

Anyone who likes hunting whitetails should try hunting fair chase Big Whitetails this time of year!!!Talk about a challenge!!!Just dealing with the elements is tough enough besides trying to wrap your tag around a deer kill. There a whole different animal in January.Right when you think you have them figured out,NOT!!!Going to keep at it a few more days until the 31st.(zone 77M) Also i am looking for hunting land to lease in Sheboygan County..PM PLEASE!!!

Sorry for the late report but hunted in Shawno county put my best buddy in my favorite stand since I was hunting with my son and he shot a nice 140 class and a few hundred yards another guy on our land shot a 151 class buck. Cal and I passed on several small bucks and we shot 3 does. I enjoy passing on small bucks and harvesting does when possible ecspecially with my son at my side. We saw decent amount of deer but no big shooters for us. here's the two big bucks off the land I hunt. this year we harvest 4 mature bucks off the land that were in the 130-150 class so QDM is working well for us finally!

Thanks for the reports and pics I love to hunt big whitetails!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
