Nice steelhead Brian,
Clear water and running solo made it tough, but did land this nice double a few weeks back. Will be back at it whenever the weather cooperates for a mixed bag in shallow again. Posted Image

Haven't been able to post in awhile.

Fishing in Kewaunee on Lake Michigan is starting to get better. Hopefully the wind and temps will cooperate. Been trolling mostly stick baits in the 10 to 7 foot range. Speeds anywhere from 1.8 to 2.4 Most fish are average 4 to 6 pounds, with some littler ones, but also some 10lb plus ones too.

The river still has some steelhead action going on. Spawn, shrimp, and waxies are working. Still busy on the weekends.

Will post pics once I can get time.

Went right before ice out and my buddy got this nice brown. Missed four other hits.

On a side note, the browns are hitting out on Lake Michigan, you can launch a boat out of Algoma and out of Two Creeks launch. Kewaunee's launch is still iced in but not by much. Shouldn't be long til it opens up.

Also the steelhead are running pretty good as we speak. Get there early to get a spot. Spawn and jigs with waxies are working.

Went out yesterday with a friend who never caught a trout and we got lucky. Went 2 for 3 with the two fish came within 15 minutes of each other. Using spawn sacs and automatic fisherman's. One is a dandy!!!!!

Fishing has been ok so far with some days out producing others. Averaging a few fish each time out, mixed bag sometimes, anything from cohos, browns, rainbows, to an occasional pike. River is starting to cloud up pretty good. Won't be long til a guy changes over to spinning rod for some drift fishing.:)
