Eric

Any ideas when you will have the info on the Beach Harbor Resort fishing seminar/school for next spring.... I would be interested. I'm sure it is going to be a popular program and I would like a spot!

Almost time to head to Mendota for a meat run or two... :-)

Go further north up to Fish Creek and north and there will still be smallies spawning up there. Best of luck it's a great place! Better yet great owners!!

Finished up my trips last week up in Green Bay and had some great days on the bay with one day where we landed over 55 walleyes in one day both jigging and trolling which was a lot of fun for both me and my clients. Learned many new things from year to year up there there and I'm always amazed at how diverse that fishery is.

Guys if your going up to the Bay you have to check out http://www.beachharborresort.com/ The rates were 39.99 a night with a bar attached, fish cleaning station, Great Boat Launch, great shore fishing, and they even serve great food at the Bar. I love tyhe friday night Fish fry, I was shocked how great it was! Next Year I will be doing a Spring Walleye School at Beach Harbor resort For sure for Big eyes and Pike.

Made it out with Babe Winkleman this week and we had a great time up in the Bay!

Stayed at Beach Harbor Resort http://www.beachharborresort.com/ awesome place to stay for 39.99 a night with a bar and food right on the water with a launch. Check it out and you can catch a lot of fish from shore as well!

Here's a few pics heading back up right now!

Made it up the eastside last night, started trolling bays midafter noon caught 1 small pike, just before dark moved out to main bay caught 3 right away kept 2 eaters, then the witch of the north blew and the fishing was over. Just wish I would of got a few hours in, the 2 we kept were stuffed tight with 2"-3" shad they looked like footballs. The feed bag is on !!!!!!! Shad Raps #5's and old school thundersticks.

Use trolling as your method of finding schools of fish on either flats, clam beds, humps or drop off and points with inside turns. Find consistent action making trolling passes then jig over those spots and you'll be pleasently surprised! or cast cranks like flicker shads! I love to explore look, find new water new fish, and what i like to refer as "My fish" I like finding my own spots schools of fish that i do not see anyone fishing up there. Some times it's a bust and you strike out other times it's woth it's weight beyond what you can imagine.

Did well also fishing out south of the Menomonee river in the 20-30 foot depths on some of the humps there!

My advice is think out of the box, don't follow the crowds and don't be afraid to go out and fish the bay by yourself, get the confidence you need and keep those spots to yourself! :-))

Awsome fish as allways Eric.. I have a question for you.. With out telling me your spots. I would like to know what you look for when jigging, or how you go about finding these big girls?? I know from oconto down to suamico that area is litered with small humps. Is that what your jigging on? Again thanks for any tips your willing to hand out.

Back in town on short notice with bad weather and a motor issues, the bite has been great up in the bay this past week with many big fish over 30 inches caught. Both sides of the bay are good now. Trolling stick baits and cranks have been the best for me at night, during the day cranks and crawlers harnesses have also been good, along with jigging in open water with jigs and gulp.

Found some new really cool stuff this past week where we fished gin clear water caught some huge eyes casting jigs and gulp and also caught lake trout and big pike! This is a special place to fish for big fish!

I will be fishing the east side of the bay for the next 2 weeks and staying at Beach Harbor resort (920) 743-3191 this place is an awesome place to stay!! SUPER CHEAP RATES!!!!! John (the owner) has special spring rates for fisherman. Some rooms are cheaper than $40.00 dollars a night! I will be staying here for the next 2 weeks so if you see me say hello and I'll fill you in on the bite and some tips for these big fish!

The bite on the west shore at Pensauke is good along with Sumico and Oconto right now and will be good for the next 2 months same came be said for the bite from Dyksville to the tip of Door county for eyes.

Worst trip for me was last night where we had 11 fish and biggest was 28 1/2 inches, best trip was this week we caught 5 fish over 30 inches, 3 during the day along with some big pike and lots of fish in the 25-29 inch range and boating over 30+ eyes in day/night out in the Bay.

Now for a few pics.........

Eric

The bite is on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My buddie and I are comming this weekend to fish Green Bay. We've fished the east shore, University Bay to Dykesville before and will try there if the wind and waves let us.

If the wind is "Blowing hard" from the west. Any recomendations on where to start on the West Shore? Where to launch, Bait Shops ect.

Thanks

Bud
