Got out and fished the bay Tuesday 1-8:30 and Wednesday 7-1:30. Tueday we had our limit of 30 perch in an hour and half. Then went and chased walleyes. Ended with 15 in two hours. Got out early Tuesday morning and got 20 perch. Probably could of got a limit if we would of stuck it out. But instead we decided to chase walleyes. Had 11 walleyes in 2 1/2 hours. With couple nice ones lost boat side. Would of had a lot more fishing time if we weren't running around trying to avoid the storms.
All perch ran 8-11 ins with walleyes running 18-23 ins with one nice 26 1/2 incher.
Also had a couple of bonus smallies with one being 20 1/2 and another being 21 inches.
The perch were all caught in 20-21 fow. The walleyes were in 7-15 fow.
Hope everone has a happy and safe forth of July!!!

Tight lines and good fishing to all!!

Well it looks like the Spawn is all wound down. :( Caught a few fish last night but nothing huge. Closest we got to a big fish was a 3.5 to 4 pounder boat side that broke off.

The Smallies will begin moving to their summer haunts soon and they will put on the feedbags. Even top water bite will be hot once the weather improves.

For now I am going to switch to Salmon on the big pond and Walleye on Bago for a few weeks until some of the Door County reefs begin to heat up for Eyes and Smallies. :(

Was up looking for some Smallies Sunday. The weather and the tapering off of spawning activities made it a lot more difficult. Only boated 6 fish all day up there. Saw quite a few more but they were pretty tight lipped.

Fished from Rileys Bay all the way up to Sister Bay.

I will be back on the water up out of Ephraim tomorrow and will report.

I need to get my new digital camera back soon so I can keep up with you guys on all the pictures!

If you want your limit of 15 perch the bay is the best its been in 10 years. East or west shore, doesn't matter, move until you find them. When you land on them, 15 9"to10"ers is realistic. Minnows if there are junk fish around, crawlers if just perch under you has been a good rule:) Don't have to be by the crowd to find em'

We got out in the Sturgeon bay area on Wednesday night and early thursday evening. Wednesday was quite slow with only 1 26 in. walter. Thursday was a different story. The same area we fished the night before produced 5 walleyes, 2 browns, 2 smallies and a handful of monster sheepshead. The only difference between the two nights was the nice southwest wind we had on thursday putting a nice little walleye chop on the water. Compared to the glass like conditions we had on Wednesday night. Water temps ranged from 60-63. We contour trolled shorelines in 8-25 fow. Thundersticks and long bomberA were the baits we were using. Get out and enjoy some of this great fishing because it won't last much longer. The alwives are on there way in. Here are some pictures from our trip.

By way Fin nice job keep up the good work.

Tight lines and good fishing!!!

Was up out of Ephraim fishing this Sat all day. Still seeing Smallies on Beds scattered around up there. Water was about 63 to 65 Deg, which surprised me since it was that warm two weeks ago and there were Bass on beds then. The cold fronts must be keeping them off balance.

I boated 20 fish in the morning by myself, working some scattered structure. My partner arrived at 2PM and we fished north, and picked up another 50 fish or so before we called it quits at 6PM. Found lots of 3+ pound fish scattered in heavy rock structure shores.

Bass have been very active all up the Door, best baits are tubes and grubs.

Get up and enjoy some of WI best Small Mouth fishing!

Just a heads up if anyone is heading up to the bay for eyes the fishing has been very good all over the southern Bay from the UW shore, Vogts, Genos reef, and the west shore as well up to Oconto. Spinners up high in 4-12 feet of water.

Also trolling for muskies is still going pretty good in the river.
