Fished Lower Nemahbin yesterday for spring crappie. Not too much doin, picked up a couple gills, one perch, and FINALLY my first crappie of the season. Scooted over to upper and as i figured caught absolutely nothin, did see a couple walters just sitting on the bottom in about 5-6 ft. pretty cool to see. Other than that slow slow slow. :cool:

I Started fishing the upper lake at 6:30am with 2 friends. On my 3rd cast the first fish was caught and they kept coming till we left for lower at 11:30am. With the water so clear, fish were seen cruising the inside weed edge. Our boat was positioned on the north flat in 10-5 ft of water. If you were wondering what fish, they were small & largemouth bass. Between the 3 of us we must have caught 50 bass, with more smallmouth then largemouth. Most were under 14in. With 10 legal fish the biggest was about 3Ibs. The preferred bait was slow and on the bottom. We fished lower next till 2:30pm. Didn’t catch many fish here. With the quantity of fish, light winds and cool temps I had the most enjoyable day fishing so far this year.
I also caught a nice farmers tan.
