Hello all,
Just wondering if anyone has fished Wingra? I've just started musky fishing last year really hard. Being I'm in Madison, Wingra is a nice place to start cutting my teeth learning. But, I've been out 5 times and have only seen one fish. I've been trying everything (bucktails/topwater/cranks/spinner baits) and only seeing one fish. After reading/seeing all these musky's people are cathing on other lakes in Southern Wisconsin, maybe I'm doing something wrong. Anyone have some ideas/tips they are willing to share. This fall I plan on hiring Eric for a musky trip. Sounds like I would be able to learn a lot from him in a days fishing. Maybe thats the route I should go. But its fun trying things on my own to figure them out. But I dont have the luxury of fishing every day. Soon I will be getting shipped out to Brussels Europe for work. Then it will be 2 weeks in the states and 2 weeks in Europe, making it tough to do things on my own. Again, not looking for any hot spots, just some pointers for fishing the Madison lakes in the summer/fall time. Here are a few I've caught around Madison the past 2 years. Enjoy!
