I see that many anglers will tie a short fluorocarbon leader onto their Fireline. Can anyone help a "beginner" understand what kind of knot, or interface you use to connect the two?

Thanks,
Johnny

Use a swivel if you are using a spoon or anything else that will twist, vertical jigging gulp is another swivel. If you are going to be bass fishing and want a connection with no weight or that can be reeled up into rod then double uni knot is only way to go

I have started to do use a flouro leader this year on several of my poles.

The one with the Firewire is my least favorite and I am not sure of the advantage over other brands of braid that I use. The braid gives me the no stretch and the flouro the clear.

Prior I would use Firewire alone, but it does not cast as well as braid.

I also use the uninot, but I am mostly pitchin rubber worms. I'll add a swivel on my other pole.
