Walleye fishing from shore

My 10 year old son is begging to get out and fish this weekend, is there a good place from shore to get some walleyes? Was thinking about fishing the Fox river off Hwy 36 in the Burlington area, figured I would get some input before making the drive. Any place or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. He caught his first Salmon and Rainbow this fall and now wants his first Walleye.
