Which GULP product?

I see Eric use Berkeley GULP products on Wisconsin Waters and Woods quite regularly, and he raves about the production. Specifically, can anyone tell me which GULP variety he uses? Looks like a minnow on TV, but I'm not sure.

really all gulp is good and then you just use the shape and style your normally wood. The minnows do work for brown trout

Is the product that they are selling in the tubs the same as the bag with the exception of it being immersed in attractant? If so then I would think they could sell larger quantity bags so you could replenish the tub.????

Its not the same stuff...and niether is the price...the stuff they used on the show was Gulp Alive...thats the one that comes in the tub...its like and I'm not positive here but around $17-19 for the small tub...yowza..!! but...it obviously works...well, Eric could tie on a turd and catch a fish though so so much for that...but its supposed to have a much greater scent release than does the regular Berkley Gulp...hope this helps you out...good luck to you

I would say personally there's not a huge difference from what I've noticed so far with the two. I have bought both types and they have both worked well for me in the 3 inch and 4 inch gulp minnows. The one thing nice about the gulp alive is that after you done using it you can throw it back into the scent jug and rejuvinate it.

The colors seem to make a difference some days the smelt color works well along with the pearl and other days the blue and white works best, or chartruse and white. I will say this that scent is a huge factor when these fish bite and hold onto jigs, that's why the gulp works so well and out performs the other plastics in my opinion. Some days it really does not matter what you use for baits when the fish are supper aggressive, other days it really matters on color size etc... then there are days they just want spawn or skein...

Hi Eric. Thanks for your direct input on my question. I must truly say that I enjoy watching you "guide" on Wisc Waters and Woods the BEST! I a fifty-one year old "beginner" when it comes to fishing. I sure have learned a lot watching you. One of these days I'll give you a call to set a day up for my Dad and myself......you guys would get along well.....as he was a Marine as well.:)
