Post some of your best fish, or most memorable fish of 2007.
I look forward to seeing them.
Probably my favorite fishing a few steelhead pics, one with my son who helped reel in a steelie, and lots of fun in the U.P. with my good friend Steve Everetts.
Oh yea then the one in the middle where I was steelhead fishing on a giant ice flow and the only way to land the fish was to get out on the ice, water was about 5 feet deep below, but plenty of solid ice.

The nighttime bowfishing we did this year was a blast. This 6+ lb largie hit a bronzeye frog 5 feet from the boat in a foot of clear water! A 10 inch surprise out of Monona Bay and last but not least the 10lb+ Walleye I caught on the ol' miss. I'm posting from work so the pics I have here are limited but these are my a few favs from the year.

Good timing on this thread... I just finished collecting all my 2007 fishing pics not too long ago, to put up on my website for friends/family. Will spare you the server space and just give a link to my page for anyone who's interested:

Oh, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to re-post my 42" musky from this fall... not big by musky standards, but plenty big enough to put a smile on my face. :D Didn't get to do as much Musky chasing as I wanted this year, so I was quite happy to put one in the boat this fall.

Here's a couple for me...now the walleye and the northern are not huge but it is the only walleye i caught all year and the pike was caught on a micro light rod 2 pound test and a crappie hook and minnow and no net so it was just as good as a monster.

First time fishing in Lake Michigan ever in Oak Creek. Hooked up with this 30 lb carp on a hand made spinner on the 2nd cast throwing for trout. Didn't find any trout that day but the fight that this big guy gave me made up for it. :D

First ski of 2008..I Set the hook and the line snapped..We stayed in the area and on the third cast Bobby dragged in the line that had snapped and hand landed the fish..Otherwise it was a tough bite. Lots of wind, but it did get into the 60s for 2 of the 4 days..Despite the weather It was good to get back in the boat and chase some skis!!
Cant wait for the Southern WI opener!!

Nice healthy SM from today (5-28-08) my biggest to date. Fishing from shore I didn't have my fish measurer with me. Picture was taken with cellphone camera which doesn't give this fish justice. All fish released...

Finally got to visit the beautiful Hayward area again after a 17 year absence. Caught plenty of fish, but no monsters. Walleyes bit well until we got clear skies and a huge mayfly hatch. Bluegills started to make beds at the end of the week. I was going to post pics of fish we caught but I changed my mind - these represent our trip better.

Here is a mess of pond bluegills from tonight......nice fish my girlfriend and I caught. Her first fishing trip after a very hard weekend of surgery, she was able to last a couple hours. She was up and ready to catch some gills and needed fresh air so we went fishing :).
One bluegill had these tiny white worms in it's fillet and I know they are parasites but I never seen them before and was wondering if anyone knows what causes them, if they are harmful, and so on??????

Glow Spoon Female Chinook Salmon (9-9-08)
I spent from 6:45pm-10:15pm casting like a maniac trying to connect with some fish from shore. I casted a Firetiger pattern Rapala Minnowrap only to have a huge pike bite the lure right off like it was nothing. Then I tied on glow in the dark spoons for my girlfriend and I and started casting. After at least 2 hours with nothing to show for I decided to make one last stop walking down the pier around 9:30pm. On the second cast I nailed this big and beautiful female chinook. Shortly after I connected with and lost 2 more salmon that decided to show me how fast they could swim towards me. I couldn't gain enough line reeling as fast as I could and the line went slack on both.
Can't wait for the full moon and this week's rain forecast. Maybe more fish will come in and the moon will trigger a feeding response.....

My girlfriend finally knows why we stand around on the breakwalls and rocks for hours casting our arms off. Once you hook into one of these creatures you then know you are not the one able to say you are the strongest creature on this planet. These fish don't get horsed around, they will horse you......

kind of a dumb question, but was wondering if anyone knows how to downsize your photos, been tryin to put some on here but they are to big
samthemaster
11-11-2008, 01:25 PM
what i do might be a bit complicated. i open the file with a minimized window, and press the "print screen" key. then from there, the picture should be smaller. i paste it on paint and just edit out the picture and paste it on a new file and then save it.

You could use the lake-link resizing tool or i use a website called photo bucket to store and resize photos.

Hey Bigman is that a wingra fish? Im pretty sure i got a pic of me holding that same exact fish. got it in sept on a cowgirl
.Pan Handler
12-17-2008, 11:23 AM
A lot of the same fish get caught on Wingra (which makes sense considering its size). I saw the same skinny 46 caught twice this year in our boat, first in May and then in September. A bunch of other fish too that were eerily similar. Another funny thing is you, Bigman, and my buddy all caught the same 41 within a 4 day span in September or early October (you might remember it, it had a big split in its tail, and it was caught by the deep hole everytime). My buddy got it on a dawg, then I think you and Bigman caught it on suckers consecutive days after that. Poor fish, everything it ate had hooks in it :)

A 24" 8LB largemouth I got on November 3, 2007. This thing was extremely fat. Didn't bring the cooler otherwise I may have put it on the wall. Made it into the In-Fisherman magazine for this catch. Biggest largemouth I have ever caught and the biggest of all my family.
