I didn't see a thread for Eagle on here anywhere so I'm starting one. This report is a little late sorry. I fished Eagle 3 days last week(wed 1/2 a day, Thurs, and Sat.) Wednesday I caught a nice mix of fairly nice gills, perch and crappies along with two very nice pike at 30 & 36in. Pannies were caught mainly on gill pills gobbed with spikes fishing 7 fow about 2-3ft off the bottom although several nice crappies fell victim to a black shrimpo 2ft below the ice. Thursday was not as good period. I caught one decent pike that went about 30in. The panfish bite however was much slower and smaller. I pulled my tip ups halfway through the day and went in search of a better panfish bite. I found better fish in 5-6ft of water on the bottom. The bite was slower but the fish were bigger. I ended Thursday with 10 big perch on the ice and some nice gills in 8 inch range caught and released. My wife and I went out on Saturday and did very well. I set out four tip ups with jumbo shiners on them and within 20 minutes we had a flag resulting in pike in the hight 20's. Before I could reset that trap flag no. 2 went up the fish proved to be too much for my 40lb flouro leader. Flags went up through out the day resulting in 6 northerns and 2 nice largemouth. We caught plenty of decent gills and a few nice crappies, mostly on pills and spikes, but everything went back. My wife did get one bonus pike on a jig stick and 2lb that made her day.

Stay on the dry side!

Eric.

Limited out on nice eater size gills and crappies.
Slow on the flags though, one all day that bit us off.

Fished yesterday straight out of the launch from 8 am - 3 pm. Fishing in 10 fow and caught tons of poker chip gills mixed in with a few small crappies. No flags popped all day for us ( didn't really see any other flags poppin either ). Ice was 5 - 6 but pretty solid...

Good luck

Fished 10-3 today on the West end of the lake. Got close to 100 bluegills of various sizes, mostly dinks, a few 8 inches. Also coaxed 1 Large Mouth to bite. They were very skittish. Pretty windy as the day went on. Careful, the entrance to the launch from the lake is pretty shallow, less than a fow. :D

Felt like summer, sun burn and all. :o
