Greetings All,
I have a question for everyone and any help would be great. At the moment the only boat I have access to is a canoe. I strap it to the top of the car and hit the road, the question I have pertains to lake regulations. Particuarly lakes that have restrictions on motor size and such.
I spent Sunday on Mauthe Lake and had a great time with scum frogs and Largemouth. Other then Mauthe(it's the only Lake I know of)what other lakes only allow electic trolling motors etc..... in Southeastern Wisconsin?
It's hard with a canoe to take wake from skiers and other boats
The lakes could have limited motor traffic, or lakes that don't allow them and so forth, thanks much.

You might want to check out Beaver Lake in Waukesha County. I don't know if there is and official motor restriction on this lake or not, but the only launch that I am aware of on this lake, is a portage launch... you'll have to carry your canoe down a bunch of steps from the parking lot. The lot is right off of Hwy 83, North of Hwy 16, near the intersection of Hwy 83 & County K.
I've never fished it... for the same reasons as you might want to fish it. Can't get my boat in there. :) Anyway, here-tell there's a decent bass population, but not necessarily bigguns.

You might want to check out Okauchee. Both launches are in a pretty big no wake zone for the entire channel except two small little bays. If you go on a weekend in the middle of the day these little bays will be rough...but any other time you might have a couple of boats to deal with. Lower Okauchee is the same way.

Here are a few lakes that I have fished with a canoe and have no problem with traffic, either because they are no wake lakes or have carry on access only and get little boat traffic. Pleasant Lake (out in the Palmyra, Eagle area), Forest Lake (Off Hwy 16 and C in Waukesha), Rockland Lake (In Racine county), Vernon Marsh (out by Mukwonago).

Big Bri: I have fished Pleasant Lake a few times in the last two weeks. I will have to take a look at these other lakes you have mentioned. Thank you so much.

of course once the salmon are in and the brown numbers get a little better, you will have to try row trolling the Kenosha Marina. No wake throughout entire marina. Marina is south of main harbor. Something about a 20lb+ salmonoid pulling a kayak looks awesome.

BigMusky: Wow, I never thought of that! Sounds like a lot of fun. :) Gonna have to give it a try come September!
